What do we do?
At the Rausenbach Center for Analysis and Research, we conduct independent, interdisciplinary scientific research focused on the development of cultivation strategies aimed at modulating and optimizing the phytochemical composition of medicinal plants, horticultural crops, and fruit species. We systematically investigate how environmental and agronomic variables are encoded into plant secondary metabolism and translated into molecular bioactivity affecting human neuronal function, integrating frameworks such as xenohormesis and plant–environment interaction biology. These insights are applied to the design of functionally enhanced, resilient, and environmentally sustainable cropping systems, bridging agricultural production, neurodevelopmental science, and human health.
Our projects
At the Rausenbach Center for Analysis and Research (CRAI), we develop scientific projects that explore the interactions between plants, the human brain, and the environment from an evolutionary, molecular, and applied perspective. Initiatives such as Neurobotanica, NeuroPhytome, PharmaNtech, and MountainGreen integrate neuroscience, plant science, and sustainability to generate knowledge with impact on human health, pharmacological innovation, and ecosystem resilience.
